Our Founder
Tea Hines: A Vision of Service
Tea Hines grew up watching her grandmother, Elizabeth Gamble, pour love into everyone around her. Elizabeth couldn't spell the word "stranger" — she simply didn't believe in the concept. She was graceful and taught her family how to love people no matter what.
Elizabeth was a nurse who dedicated her career to caring for people in their last years and stages of life. She cared for them in such a way that every time they left her care, they felt whole — like someone truly loved and cared for them. She had a way of making everyone feel this way, and that spirit of unconditional compassion is what inspired Tea to carry her legacy forward.
When Elizabeth passed away during Tea's early twenties, Tea felt called to honor her grandmother's legacy. She began hosting Pack the Back events through The Elite Tax Group, her accounting firm, before officially founding the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation in 2023.
Today, Tea leads a team of passionate staff and volunteers, continuing to expand the foundation's reach and impact. Her vision of community, compassion, and collaboration continues to guide everything the foundation does.
